Axis Beginner for GC needed

Previous possible opponent couldn't make it due to apparent password problem on slitherine server but if interested this is what we agreed on below
After much contemplation I've come up with the following,
Both FOW's
No auto AI Air Assist
TB control - On
Reduced Retreat Attrition - On
Combat Delay Effects - Reduced
Miscellaneous Leader Deaths - Reduced
Amphib invasions - Limited
No temp motorisation - On
No airborne ops - On
Extended play
+15% Soviet Fortification (Slightly faster digging in, Historically accurate according to German intelligence)
If you're fine with this I'll set it up on the slitherine multiplayer server immediately and create a password.

How quickly are you aiming to play?
I'd potentially be interested and it would be my first PBEM campaign so the level seems about right, but with being busy at work and having a young child I couldn't really commit to a fast pace of play. I'd be looking at returning a turn in 7-10 days (obvs quicker in mud turns and also hopefully quicker as the campaign progresses and the front line becomes more stable).
Let me know if that would be something you could work with? Completely understand if you are looking to play at a quicker pace.

Hi,
I was thinking around 1 week turns more or less.
I know the initial soviet turns are very time consuming so I wouldn't be quicker than that anyway, at least initially.
Overall, if we fixed a limit on 10 days, but hopefully a bit quicker, I could live with that.
The game is already set up on the slitherine server, and password protected, which I'll give you if you're keen to proceed.
Cheers

Ok, sounding pretty good so far!
Just a few thoughts about game setup
1) My preference would be PBEM - it means you keep your old turns for future reference, you can access your last turn whilst the opponent does theirs which can speed play up, you don't have to be connected to the Internet to play and also are not reliant on the slightly temperamental matrix servers. I'm happy to play on the server if you have a strong preference but just wanted to put the option out there.
2) Re TBs I'm happy with them being under player control. My 'house rule' against the AI has been only units that start on or reach the map 'naturally' are eligible to be moved. So for example the Axis player can send their panzers to France etc for the winter but can't pull out a whole load of infantry divisions to replace them. I feel like that avoids the issue of units leaving the map when you don't want them but also a lot of the TB micromanagement/gaminess. That is just a suggestion - if you want to manage the TBs with no restrictions I'm happy to go along with that.
3) I'd rather play the extended play version of the campaign than the no early end version. I think the VP system is important to keep both sides on their toes and the no early end version takes away a lot of that gameplay which the game was balanced around. This is the only thing that I'm a bit more committed to although if you have strong reasons for wanting to play NEE I'm happy to at least listen and consider.
Otherwise I think the rules look great! Let me know what you think about the above?

Hi again,
I'm happy to go along with your suggestions, yes, maybe pbem would avoid some technical difficulties.
I'll make required changes and then we can go ahead.
Looking forward to a whole new, massive!, challenge......
