androids and life support

Does an android benefit at all from medical skill if they do not heal from life support?

It would seem that this would not only mean that they could heal potentially much slower, but they also are missing out on a LOT of "other" experience.

I made my leader an android for RP reasons, but now am worried that this will seriously cripple its chance to advance. In my last battle a damaged (human) pilot got 800 oxp from healing and medical checks. Considering that if I get 200xp in a category now I am lucky... 800! that was insane.

The medical skill also modifies the chance for a jock to stop bleeding, which is a nasty thing.
Androids will not get the XPs from healing, but they have special immunity against radiation, and that's their strength.

if you're lacking OXP for your leader, i would suggest putting him in a titan with a good scanner and a strong weapon with a long recycle time, preferabbly long range, too. put him in the back as support and keep scanning in between weapon reloads. it should compensate for lack of experience from medical checks. i won't rely on medical checks for experience though, you don't want your jocks to be on the verge of death just to get some extra xp.

I thought androids heal naturally, without life support. I'm not sure, but I don't think they use the medical skill for it.

Though logically, androids aren't supposed to get much experience anyway. That's the specialty of humans :P.

Yep, that's what's been said already, androids do not use the medical skill for healing purposes, since they don't benefit from the healing capability of the LS.
