Can you please explain the difference in the AI behavior in BVR engagement logic "Crank if possible" and "Crank and Drag"

PS. I understand the meaning of the terms "Crank" and "Drag", being a very capable Falcon BMS player around 15 years ago...

Crank if Possible (DEFAULT): The aircraft will “crank” by
tilting to the edge of its guidance radar and slowing down. This
symbolizes a desire and training to stay at long range if possible.

Crank and Drag: The aircraft will not only crank but will, once
the missile goes active and its guidance is no longer necessary,
“drag” and move away from the target. This symbolizes a
greater desire and skill to stay at long range at any cost.

I thought that was a pretty good summation of what the AI does.

Thanks. So, am I correct to understand that in the "Crank if Possible" behavior the aircraft will quickly re-engage offensive in the case the opponent has not fired back?

Maybe search crank in the manual. Thats where those to comments came from. I just typed in crank and it was the first hit.
