Bombing China

I have played almost exclusively as the allies. Most of my Japanese opponents have not done any strategic bombing of factories in China, especially Chungking.

What are your philosophies and/or strategies regarding the bombing or lack thereof of light industry to help reduce the Chinese defense?

As the Japanese player, you don't want to bomb factories, you want to capture them.........

Only bomb factories when the AI has lots of supplies to use up the supplies since the AI will always try to repair them. But once they quit repairing the factories, then bomb the units, airfields, and/or ports.

Some people have HRs banning the bombing of factories in China.

It is often agreed as HR to not to do strategic bombing in China, apart from later war B-29 attacks from China to Japan.

Usually when B-29s arrive, either IJA has overrun all suitable bases in China, Allies have not enough supply there to operate them or game has already been won by either side.

For IJ bombing in China, I think its bomb land units. bomb some more. Bomb em all. Bomb em again. Discriminately. As needed. All the time. Every day. Find more bombers.

Or bomb their air bases to burn their supply .... air bases are MUCH easier to hit with low EXP pilots ....
