How does delay for Axis work?

I've got a handful of Allied raids in the air, trundling their way to their targets.

It's 6:42am and I've still got close to a 30 minute delay.

Is this normal behaviour?
If so, how can I help reduce delay in the early morning?

I have increased the Alert Radius but that hasn't seemed to change much.

Radar is also 90% operational in the area, if that makes a difference.

All you can do to override the launch delay is order them to patrol, which starts the clock to get them taxiing to the runway. The delay that you see is for the planes that have not yet received your order to launch.

I'm going to look into this to see if anything is odd, i.e. It appears that Com delay is being added twice to the overall delay. Stay tuned.

Alright, I'll see if ordering patrols changes anything.

Aside from 2 days, it's been like this so far for my campaign. I kinda just got used to it but it does create a huge perceived window for allied strikes that won't be touched.

I fixed a bug in the launch delay code where the timing would continuously reset to a later delay even while the radio activity was increasing and no raids had launched. I also found some doubling up of the delay time. Now the defender delay will adjust properly as the delay readiness decreases from 60min to 1min.

Note that it will still take 45 minutes to change from 60 minute delay to 15 minute delay, and then 10 more minutes to get to 5 minute delay, but once you are there, you are set.
