Can anyone suggest some reference books that cover modern weapons? I'd like to read more about, say, the Taurus missile, AMRAAM, Meteor, etc.

I understand that Jane's does this but I'm looking for something a bit more affordable than $1500 per book.

I have a few books. But they get dated fairly quickly if you are looking for the most current news.

Helion has a book on missiles in Ukraine that is fairly current. Others I own are:

Modern Air-Launched Weapons by Martin J. Dougherty

Russia's Air-launched Weapons: Russian-made Aircraft Ordnance by Piotr Butowski

Postwar Air Weapons 1945-Present by Thomas Newdick

Osprey also has a bunch of books on weapon systems in their New Vanguard series.

With some exceptions, if I know the exact weapon system I am interested in, I can typically find online sources with more detail than a lot of the books that cover many systems.
