A farmer took his broken down truck in to the town mechanic so it could be fixed. The mechanic told him it wouldn't be fixed until the next day.
The farmer said, "That's okay. I don't live far, I can walk."
On his way home the farmer stopped by the hardware store and bought a bucket and a gallon of paint.
Then he stopped by the poultry store and bought two chickens and a goose.
Outside the poultry store he was wondering how he would carry it all home when a little old lady came up to him and said, "Excuse me sir. I'm lost and don't know my way home."
She gave him her address and he said that it was on his way to his farm and he could walk with her and get her home.
On the way there he said, "If we go down this alley we can get there faster, it's a shorcut."
The little old lady said, "I'm a lonely old lady. My husband is dead and isn't here to defend me. How do I know that when we get in that alley you won't shove me against the wall, lift up my skirt and have your way with me?"
"Holy smokes lady!", said the farmer. "How could I do that when I have to carry all of this?"
The little old lady replied, "Put down the goose. Put the bucket over the goose and put the paint can on the bucket. I'll hold the chickens."
