Hey all!

I've been enjoying the game but run into a question I can't solve. Can I lift mortars and howitzers with helicopters?

It doesn't seem like it, but the way certain scenarios are constructed it leaves me wondering. I'm currently playing Hill 50 - Day 1 - Alabama Ticks (4 March, 1966).There are a lot of 81mm Mortars and 60mm mortars at the Chu Lai Airfield that are too far from the battlefield to be used. I can't seem to lift them with my CH-34 helicopters though. They are not fixed, which leads me to believe I may be able to use them in some way. Or else why are they there?

Would welcome any advice!

I was out on a work trip and then headed to help my folks do some renovations.

I read this, but completely forgot about it until Crossroads reminded me.

Anyway! The key is to make sure that your helicopters have enough strength points to carry the mortars. You need a 4-6SP helicopter flight to carry 4 mortars. Also make sure the helicopter have enough action points AND they are on the ground!
