Program just closes - looking at the crash log

The games will close with no notice - I thought it was my older graphics card being overwhelmed so I saved it a few times per turn.

I have a new tower - with plenty of RAM and a good graphics card - and it will still close without notice. I tried scrolling around a large map with plenty of cities and that only uses about 6% of CPU usage.

I looked at the crash log, but it's Greek to me. What should I be looking for in the crash log? it it this last line?

Open TOAW log.
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Matrix Games\The Operational Art of War IV\Opart 4.exe"

Is it a new install?

Yes - new program install/updated.

I had the old Documents folder uploaded, so I haven't ruled out that the scenario I'm in isn't the issue.

Is the tower the only new thing? I know this sounds like something we've heard a million times but update all drivers.
You could try this to allocate more memory:

Start The Operationa Art of War IV

Open Task Manager by pressing Ctrl + Alt + Del.

Click the DETAILS tab.

Find Opart.

Right-click and go to Set priority. Pick your priority (High, Realtime, etc.).

Confirm your selection by choosing Change priority.

Remember Windows will allocate more RAM and CPU to Opart, it will reduce system RAM available to other apps.

GAC

Think extended memory refers to a RAM architecture used back in the DOS and early Windows days. No longer used, thus none available.
