I noticed that this is on sale. It indicates that there is no multiplayer. Is that correct or can it be played multiplayer?

It can be played multi-player but the multi-player relies on a direct TCP connection with no built-in support for bypassing your firewall / routers (that usually block any attempt to connect two computers across the internet, for security reasons.) If both players understand how to open ports for the game through their firewall and/or router (or you play across a local network) then you should be able to connect.

we are currently in the middle of a team multiplayer Grand Campaign using the mod "Radzymin '44" by Aetius of the game "Close Combat: Last Stand Arnhem".

We are on battle 115 I think, Day 5 or so with 4 turns per day and so far we've had only one crash. I think that's pretty impressive.

You'll need Radmin VPN for better connectivity with your opponent.
