Getting supply out of depots in home countries

Playing the German in December 1941, I face supply issues which is not a surprise in itself, but what puzzles me more is the following combination:

- a lot of supply in Germany, Hungary, etc. including in a handful of level 1 depots that have (many) thousands of tons sitting idle. Of course this is outside of national supply centres that are overflowing.
- the rail lines are all in green or yellow status, yellow usually with units being transported
- All rail marshalling yards have been repaired and linked except a level 2 one.
- Of course the depots are a few level 4 near the front, some level 3 behind or where it is less critical, then level 2s. Usually there have been HQs for a while on level 4 depots.
- All this has been ongoing for a while, not just since mud and blizzard. Yet this becomes a real issue with the blizzard.

Clearly I must have missed something, help (if there is anything that can be done) would be highly welcome before I conclude the next turn.

Haven't played the Germans a ton, but my general impression is that their supply situation is always pretty rough. From what i can guess, you're probably just running into a lack of shipping capacity, which there isn't really a workaround for. A yellow rail line at the start of your turn effectively means that it was at max congestion in the logistics phase, which isn't particularly obvious when you can rack up the congestion further with troop movement. As a matter of fact, shipping troops along a line will impact freight in the following turn, so if you're doing that a lot it can seriously eat into your logistical capacity.

Sharing some example photos may help as well.

edit:
Germans also suffer severe logistics penalties during the first winter that severly limit how far freight can move in snow and blizzard hexes, so it's no surprise your running into logistics problems in december.

Yes, having an issue in the winter is not abnormal. That the issue have been lasting for so long is more surprising and it is not a factor of overloading the network, which is mostly green and yellow at the end of my turn and at the beginning again.

I could get a picture of some such rear depots, not sure how you manage that.

There are penalties from the game start, not just during winter.

if you're on steam, F12 is the standard screenshot button, otherwise probably just print screen and paste into an editor of your choice. from there you should be able to attach them using the attachments option below the message box

Thanks, I had done something wrong initially as this is what I had tried.

Otherwise Wiedrock has provided the answer. Dura lex sed lex.
