[FIXED] THAAD unable to stop Iranian BMs.

Iranian Khorranshahr BMs launched to Dimona marker.

THAAD missiles are launched but after changing the trajectory 2 times, are unable to stop the incoming barrage.

Always reproducible, last build.

Those are some interesting 90 degree turns at Mach 8+.

He would do it faster and with more style ;)

The initial trajectory looks like a correct one by the way

There is almost certainly a flaw somewhere on the guidance logic, but I specifically wanted to address this:

Remember: You are looking top-down at a trajectory that unfolds mostly on the vertical.

So, this is the double-helix of a typical DNA molecule as seen from the side:

Known and familiar, right?

Here's the very same thing, looked at from the top down:

(We used to get this reaction a lot in the pre-CMO days about aircraft "beam and dive" evasive manouvers and how the turn was supposedly "unrealistically sharp". Then after CMO released, people started looking at this through Tacview, which allowed panning the camera around, and suddenly they "got" it.)

Perhaps is useful the scenario created by C Schmitz some months ago.

https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/dfllvbjy ... 8&e=2&dl=0

He has included a huge number and types of radars, no sats. Well 3, that strangely are russian in the Hezbollah side.

I have deleted all the interceptors (naval, Arrow, Patriots,...) except the THAAD.

Many of the missiles work correctly, however some display the behavior described above, one of them with several turns in the trajectory (at the end of the video, is long).

Many types of Iranian BMs, none of them is the Kho-2, it is the version 1 in this scenario.

Thanks.

What was it finally, the missiles, the radars or early detection, the targets?

A wrong interception path towards the RV of the missiles

In another test of C Schmitz scenario, this time only the Naval interceptors remain, SM-3.

It starts earlier, over Iraq, should the THAAD do the same or later like now?

I see; that explains a few things I've seen happen. Cool visualization. In this scenario, though, the THAADs have a pitch of -30 degrees at the time of the turn which means most of their velocity is horizontal, unless I'm overlooking something with the spherical geometry.

Is the fix for this post 1676?

Not fixed in 1676.

The date of the build 1676 is 6 of June.

This thread is posterior.

You can run the scenario in the original post and the result is the same in 1676 as it was when this issue was posted. Perhaps the mentioned fix isn't included until the next release?

Indeed, the timestamp of the exe is 6 of June.

Must be fixed in an internal version not released yet, blu3s post date is 17 of June.

So the question is, when the next beta testing starts?

I want the CPU/GPU fix badly :)

This was fixed on B1682, so yes, in B1676 the issue is still there, hence my comment, because I wasn't sure of the schedule of the following updates :)

Hoping that this gets released soon, while these ABM engagements are in the zeitgeist.
