I've finally got around to playing a game with the Shakturi on DWUR. They haven't showed-up yet in my game, but I have found a couple of their abandoned ships and use them as a fast strike force and for exploration of anomalies out of range of my dedicated exploration ships.

I've read on this forum that they can show up as 'refugees' at first. So what's the best way to beat them? Kill their 'refugees' as soon as you see them considering that the player knows who they are from their ships/pics? Could that be considered a cheat?
