Strategic Command 1 European theater : Not a dead game...

Seems that one game of the Strategic Command serie was forgotten in the list... 
Nostalgics of Strategic Command 1 European theater, that allowed to play WW2 on European theater in one or two days ?
Nostalgics of the immersive ambiance of the old Third Reich PC (Avallon Hill) ?
If you have 0,98 euros (actual promo) in pocket, you may buy the old game pleasure...
1-First : Buy the old SC 1 European theater on GOG Games for 0,98 euros (actual promo) => It works fine under Windows 10

2- Second : download the free mod "3r" for SC1 European theater
This mod allows you to play the game with graphs and sounds of Third Reich PC

You have just to copy the files of Bitmaps and sound directories of the mod in their respective directories in the game
For those who want to play with alternate strengh symbols (green/red symbol in place of numeric symbols on units), you will find in "bitmaps" directory a file named "strength_sprites_altern", you have just to rename it as "strength_sprites" after erasing the original.
In the "Red URSS" directory, you will find graphs files for Urss with red ground if you prefer this color for Russia. You have just to rename them, erasing the "_altern" mention in their name, and then to copy these 2 files on the bitmaps directory of the game
EDIT : I forgot to include the "Red URSS" files in the new pack mod. You will find these file as attached images at the en of this post, in PNG format (you will have to convert them in BMP format before to use them)
The mod is zipped with 7z, a kind of free "winrar", you may download it everywhere on internet.
If you have Winrar, you can unzip the mod with Winrar in place of 7z
All vanilla scenarios of SC1 are playable with the mod.
The actual games of the Strategic Command serie are now "monster games" and you may never play WW2 in few hours like in the past, they are no more adapted for quick gaming.

In addition : I created a special private version of SC1 European theater, that allows to play some alternate warmaps, that are not usual (original diplomatic situations). If someone in interested, I could also upload this special version.
In my opinion, the fact that Hubert Cater is working on a new version of Commander Europe at war
means that these old "simple games" have a possible "new carreer" : they are not so sophisticated than new versions of Strategic Command, but they allow to play WW2 in few time, and it's a good thing.

If one day Hubert had time to change some little things in scenario editor (to allow players to change hard coded diplomatic situations *), I am pretty sure that SC1 European theater would have a second commercial carrer.
* Sample : Italy is always in "Axis side" or neutral, never in "Allied side" ; the game begins always with France + GB at war vs Germany, etc : these situations may not be changed actually. If they could be changed (to allow players to set diplomacy of all countries as they want with freedom, the game would have a new dimension. I think it would not take long time and no heavy work to do that, and the game would be more better.
