I'm playing this again after a couple of years. I'm wondering if Tactical and Medium Bombers are worth it. They're expensive and almost always take hits when they attack. Would it be better to take extra hits on attacking ground units? Also, I'd use artillery and rocket units to help not buying any bombers in addition to the ones I have at the Campaign start.

I think having a weapon at hand that can demoralize and de-entrench from a distance is always good even if it gets knocked about a bit. Especially if it can reduce enemy ZOCs in bad terrain.
