Has anyone tried a DaBabes mod with the latest game version? The new version has a different stock map. Are they compatible?

hey man, ran into a similar question.. after I had played into mid march '42 and things started getting wonky. I played the da babes lite version scenario on 1.8.11.26b? and the game quickly derailed. KB just sitting on Palmyra doing nothing, unescorted carriers just rolling right up to PH and sitting there. I loved the scenario but I'm assuming whatever changes from when those scenarios came out to the current build just doesnt jive. There's a thread that had some updated AI files but I think even that was maybe close to 10 years old at this point. I'm in the same boat tho, not sure what scenarios would work and not at this point

Just do an exe swap if you want to play with v28.
Just use 2 separate installs
1.Babes Install (v 26? )
2. Base install (1,09? ) + 28 install
copy the 28 exe over to the babes install.
Babes hasn't been updated in 10+ years so no telling what additions in 28 make it unstable. We'll find out more when the final patch is delivered sometime, according to rumour, soon

I am using the latest exe file copied into my Bottlenecks mod, which is based on DaBigBabes-C.
No issues to report, but I do play H2H and PBEM only.
I cannot comment on BabesLite or DaIronBabes scenarios because I have never played them.
If you use DaBigBabes, you should know that these versions have not been conceived to be played against AI.
This is from the DaBigBabes scenario notes:
Note: The scenario files, below, are complete; they include the AI files as well as the corresponding scenario data files . But the AI files are provided as a convenience only. They are simply copies of corresponding stock AI files, but since DaBigBabes scenarios are not compatible with stock, the AI files will not perform nearly as well as they do for a corresponding stock scenario. Playing the Allied side against a Japanese AI gives reasonable results, although the AI is not able to use any of the Babes' LCU features and will, at times, make some very odd decisions. Playing the Japanese side against an Allied AI will be an exercise in frustration. Many LCU modifications were made expressly in order to avoid/defeat various of the AI's 'advantages'. Many LCUs have been relocated and so are not in the slot where the AI expects to find them. Something totally different will likely be there.
The reworked AI files may perform a bit better, but the basic principle remains - DaBigBabes is for PBEM.
