[1676] No ABM intercept from Sky Bow and Patriot MIM-104F

Hi
In the attached scenario there is no intercept from Sky Bow III and Patriot MIM-104F
I see often this message:

"REASON: Firing unit must obtain (from itself or another CEC-enabled platform) a high-quality track on the target before firing"
->The only weapons who can intercept are Patriot MIM-104E

The Sky Bow III can intercept ABM, also the Sky Bow II should do in, but only with limited success.
Also the MIM-104F should intercept ABM (even if i remove the MIM-104E Variants from the launcher the MIM-104F does not intercept)
Thank's
Andy

This line also appears, not very informative.

The errors are related to imprecise tracking of the BM

The SkyBow radar has not ABM & Space Search capability so that's why the SkyBow is unable to intercept them.

Checking the PAC-2/3 issue

Is it possible to connect a capable radar to the Skybow adding comms or something?

Ok, Maybe weapon free was not inherited, but that doesn't change the result. Here with corrected weapons free

Taiwan relies also on Sky Bow (III) for Missile Defense:

Hm. I tried different AESA Radars to add as a sensor, but non works

Maybe the database item has to be adjusted for the newer RADAR Taiwan uses for this missile system?

ok Thank's, but is there any workaround for Sky Bow? As long as this is not fixed, you can not play any scenario that plays in this area with Ballistic missile attack (quite a lot of scenario use this).....

btw, the properties of the SkyBow II, doesn't make it very suitable for the task even with a good tracking radar

You can add an MPQ-65 as a sensor to the skybow SAM

Yes, it seems this properties are also not right (see the DB Requests that are on the DB requests site). Interesting, The first request was on year 2022 to change the radar

Wow. Great. So we have a work around. I will test this. Thank you so much!

How did you manage this? I have included it as a sensor to Sky Bow III Bty, but this doesn't work:

As a side node. There are over 2200 open issues on this github. Does anybody take care of these?

How about looking a little closer before complaining too much. Those guys are working very hard and I'm sure they feel appreciated now.

The same ones who have closed almost 4 thousand of them, I assume.

There must be a good strategy in place to manage all the "open" issues :D

Take a look at some of the requests and you'll see the problem. Some VERY obscure units that have no impact on the game and are close to useless. Yet that team has to cycle through every one of them.

I'm trying to follow the issue here. The Sky Bow III is a very limited ABM tool. It can only engage in a very limited altitude band where it might have a chance against SRBM on its dive closer to the ground. But against a MRBM, like the DF-16, it basically can't fire except in a VERY limited window. Its max target altitude is 9 nm (edit...24km/14nm). For a MRBM, thats going to be right on top of its target point and leave almost no time to intercept. And the Sky Bow II is only an ABM-capable weapon in product brochures, as far as I can tell. Its why the III was developed. (edit...and the RV speed is way above the max speed of the SB III)

I could easily be missing something though.

another edit...I got the 104Fs to fire with no issues. Its set up to fire the Es first. I set the WRA for the Fs to be longer ranged than the Es for the eastern SAM site and it rippled the missiles right on time.
