HI all: I have been away from this game for quite awhile. I note that on the main menu screen of the game, it shows version 1.8.11.27.2-Jul 31 2022. Is that the latest version of the game? On "my page" it shows update 1.01.26a date Mar 16 2015, and update v1128 beta Nov 7 2024. So which one am I using? I know, it is a dumb question, but I am very old...
I accidentally posted this in the opponents wanted section as well. Sorry.

The 11.28 version has been Beta tested and there are still a few bugs to be worked out but it has been promised 'soon' (for several months now). Chances are if you start a game on that version as it currently exists it will be compatible with the final version of 1128.
The last official version is 1126a or 1126b (there is no real difference between them). You could start a game using that version and when the new 1128 is finalized there is a good chance you can replace the 1126 game executable file (War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe) with the new one and play on. That would not give you the database and map fixes in the new version though.

So what about 1127? If that number is on your radio dial page then that is the version you have installed. That was an interim version that was quickly rejected by users because of spurious off-map bases and other issues. It should not be used.

Just do two steps:
1. Download and install the base 2009 game.
2. Download and install either 1126a or the 1128 version and install only one of those patches.

Other users who have been testing the new 1128 may be able to tell you more about readiness for use now.

And after 11.26a/b, you can use:

It is unofficial 1127, not related to flawed 1127, and works fine.

Thanks for pointing that out Sardaukar! I have not been trying out the different versions yet.
