Prohibited Move?

Can anyone give me a heads up as to why the illustrated move is prohibited?

Where units are, and are not allowed to move is pretty much a mystery to me.

I move a unit one turn with intentions for the next turn's move only to discover that the move I had planned for the second turn is prohibited. Not having a clue what terrain I can actually traverse is wreaking havoc on my planning.

It might have to do with crossing a river into a lake hex, but I don't have the game in front of me so can't be sure. I don't think it's a weather related issue like mud as that looks good as near as I can tell.

I've always found it's a good idea to turn off national colors when planning moves because they can mask actual ground conditions.

I've checked it is major river hex. It is not clear in gaphics where is major river hex. Similar situation Liuzhou (44th Chinese army) in 1942 start. Normal river has no cost(only 1 AP), I think only about about graphic issue about major rivers.

I always have the territorial color option OFF too. Especially useful in the Soviet Union where the default territory color of reddish brown looks similar to mud.

Applies everywhere though for sure. Much easier to plan moves with the weather conditions being viewed in an unadulterated fashion.

Occasionally when conducting a turn, I do toggle Territorial Colors ON, to check the owner status of a particular hex. (Example in some areas of the Pacific where things are contested. Help me in WaW and TRP-WORLD and TRP-EUROPE in the Soviet Union to see what areas were given to Italian control and its 1943 and they are close to surrendering. All Italian controlled hexes will revert to the Reds upon surrender, so I will sweep those hexes with German or German Minor troops and wash the Italians out our hair, sort of speak haha).

Notice also Hans's image and the high lighted unit and where it can move. So it can go the full distance on that un-paved road. If it was mud, it would not be able to go that far. If it was a paved road, like what covers W. Europe, then its move would not be impeded by the mud.

But which ones are the major river hex at first glance?

Thank you all for the heads up on turning off territorial color to better see the weather effects on the terrain.
I did finally get across that river, although at the hex to the left of the one in the illustration.
