I am opening this subject concerning the latest variant of the ASTER 30.

After research I conducted on this missile, it is officially stated nowhere that the missile can engage ships. However, considering the missile's capabilities and its onboard radar, we can quite confidently say that this missile must be capable of targeting enemy warships.

Why can we safely assume that the missile has the ability to strike ships?
As we know, the missile can engage sea-skimming targets with high precision, which clearly demonstrates that it has a high-resolution radar for the terminal phase — similar to the US SM-6. Despite the fact that anti-ship capabilities are not advertised by MBDA (as the missile’s main targets are aircraft and ballistic missiles), there is no reason it could not engage ships as a secondary use.

My question is:
Can we, with the current publicly available information, reasonably assume that this missile can engage ships, and therefore implement this capability in CMO?

I doubt the devs will add this feature if it is said nowhere.

I see in the db that Ukraine received this weapon, hopefully they will sink a russian ship to demonstrate your assumption
