Where the heck ?

Post by Logier »

So, I've played both SC:WiE and WAW, and enjoyed using various MODS incl. SIPRES Nato and Bleached Map. My problem is - I can't seem to find anything which I can successfully apply to WitP. In particular, I'd LOVE to implement the 'Unfortunate Son' counters. Can someone please point me at some links or file locations ?

Hello Logier,
I'm still working on the counters as Bill pointed out. See my thread here Unfortunate Son's Counters: https://forums.matrixgames.com/viewtopic.php?t=407628

Here is a sample of my latest Japanese counter, this will be on the IJA mechanized counter.

Thanks very much for that info - I'll keep checking in anticipation. As I've not used these at all, where would be the previous efforts for WiE / WAW be located ?

Thanks again, it's all starting to come together :) Just one last question - for now - I'm starting the DLC (Marco Polo) and wanted to stick with 'Bleached Map 2.1'. Unfortunately, we have the unsightly 'big, RED X' (Not Implemented) scattered liberally. Any thoughts on an alternative ?

Unfortunately I do not have anything to do with the "Bleached map 2.1".

Try deleting the two files resource_sprites_.png and resource_sprites_zoom.png from the Bitmaps folder of the mod.
In general, the best approach is to delete the following six files from the mod folders if you experience display issues, as these files have changed over the years in the main games:

- resource_sprites
- resource_sprites_zoom
- symbol_sprites
- symbol_sprites_zoom
- tile_highlight_sprites
- tile_highlight_sprites_zoom

Cheers

To use a quote from one of my favourite films : "Outstanding - getcha case of beer for that one" :D
That's another one for the tool-box.
