Hello,
I am running the Korean Campaign Dragon Fire scenario. I've taken some major damage to the convoy and I am trying to get Marines off of the LHD to Gimhae while I can. All I have left for shipboard cargo ops are Ospreys. But no matter what I do, the Marines do not show up in Cargo at the destination, Gimhae. I have tried it with a transfer type cargo mission and with a ferry mission. I can load them while on the LHD, but when the Ospreys get to Gimhae, they do not show up in cargo, and when the Ospreys take off again to return, they are showing as still being loaded with 24x marines, even though while they are still at Gimhae, and I hit Cargo Operations on the individual aircraft, they do not show as still being loaded with anything. Am I doing something wrong? Any ideas?

Are you looking in the Osprey's cargo or in their weapons/loadouts section?

Thats a fairly old scenario. I think it was built under CMNAO. One thing to look at is if the cargo capabilities were the same as current CMO. Cargo has undergone some pretty substantial upgrades and if the author isn't keeping a community scenario current, you'll have to sort it yourself.

To answer both replies, when the osprey is flying returning to the USS Makin, it is showing as carrying 24x Marines in the loadout section. But before that still on the ground in Gimhae, when I selected the individual aircraft in Aircraft Operations and then hit cargo ops, nothing was showing loaded.

As far as the scenario, this is the "updated" Korean Campaign, "Operation Dragon Fire". I think it just came out in the last Community update, or the one before at the latest. I have played the original one in years past, but this is the updated one.

Also I should mention that I also have a cargo mission between Gimhae and Osan using a C-17. That has been working just fine. I was hoping to get Marines to Gimhae to add to cargo on the C-17 but they just don't show up in Cargo after the Ospreys get there, either in the cargo mission or just using Ferry missions.

I just thought of something else, there was an existing cargo mission with the Ospreys transferring marine platoons to a South Korean airfield up North that got put out of action by missile attacks. I diverted them to Osan, and that worked just fine also. I just thought there might be some trick when moving personnel instead of vehicles or other cargo I was not familiar with, maybe some switch I was not setting or the like.

I'm really hoping this gets explained better to the player at some point because every player gets understandably confused when they first try out cargo ops because the loadout shows (in this case) 24x marines but that is just what it's configured to be ABLE to carry. The actual cargo (e.g. troops, supplies, etc.) is separate from this and is shown in the cargo tab on the right side of the screen with the unit or base selected.

In aircraft or other units that deal with cargo a lot, the loadout can often be changed to other cargo variants that adjust the capacity to account for whether you're wanting to transport personnel or pallets, for example.
That being said, I'm not sure what the difference between the marines, delta force or green beret loadouts are though, that may just be for "realism" but I never really needed to know.

OK I get that the loadout at the bottom is just what the A/C is configured for. What I don't get is that I actually load marines on the A/C while it is on the ship under Cargo Ops for each A/C and when it gets to Gimhae, under Cargo Ops, it shows as having no cargo loaded, but no Marines show up in Cargo for the airbase, just the cargo that was already at the base in the scenario, which is all equipment. Where did the troops go? This happens both when I try a transfer cargo mission and when I just load and Ferry the aircraft. I really just want to know if I am missing something or if it just a glitch with this huge scenario. I thought maybe there was some setting, switch etc. in mission settings for troops vs. equipment or something like that I might be missing.

Can you confirm that the Ospreys have the marines loaded prior to landing? Can you also confirm that there are less marines loaded in the LHD once you have loaded the Ospreys?

It shouldn't matter whether they are troops or cargo.

Post the save zipped.

I can confirm that I load marines on the ship. I load them, hit confirm, etc. I will look to see that they are still loaded while in flight on the next run, but I know I do not UNload them after I load them, so they should be. I have a cargo count for the LHD written down and I will check to see if it decreases on the next run. That is, if I can hold off the Chinese onslaught that long. They are very determined to sink the LHD, it is already damaged.

How about posting a save for someone to look at instead of everyone guessing? Its in the basic posting rules when asking for help. Otherwise its just wasting time and effort of people wanting to help.

The zipped save is too large to attach. It's 12.7mb and the max allowed size is 10. It's a huge scenario so not surprised. I don't want to waste anyone's time. Thanks for all the help.
