Install new version 1.8.11.28.4

Hello everyone,
After installing the new version, the game won't launch and I get the following error message:
error:enable to find PW data !!!
Can you help me?

If GP's advice does not change things:
1. Did you download and install the base 2009 game first, then download and install the patch you want to use (1126a or b, 1127.2, or 1128Beta? - choose one only)?
2. Did you use the shortcut the 2009 game installs on the desktop? That one points to a defunct menu program called autorun.exe, not the game. Get rid of it and find the game engine "War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe" (note that it does not have the 's at the end of Admiral). Right click on that file name and choose Create Shortcut. Then drag or copy that shortcut to your desktop.
3. Did you move the game from it's default location "C:\Matrix Games\War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition" ? If so you need to create a new shortcut that points to the installed location by finding the current location of the game executable "War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe", right click on it and move or copy it to your desktop.

But can you tell us what solved the problem so that other new players will know what to do if they get that message?

The file directory for the installed game should have a subdirectory called "Manuals". Find the .pdf file there, make a shortcut to it and put it on your desktop. I think the new manual is a work in process too so there could be changes when the final version of the game comes out.

The Manual is done as far as I'm concerned....GP
