I had noticed this behavior a few times on enemy units and managed to catch it perfectly on a save here. The NASAMS at Zamboanga/Edwin Andrews will try to engage the friendly P-3 shortly after unpause, I imagine the RBS 70s will join in shortly after.

My internals, if helpful:
CPU-AMD Ryzen 5 3550H @2.1GHz 4 cores 6MB
GPU AMD Radeon RX 560X 4GB
Memory *GB DDR4 2400 MHz
Storage 2TB

Display 1- 1920x1080 60Hz
Display 2- 1920x1080 60Hz

Thank you devs :)

Edit: also happens in B1706, once in several tries, like in B1676.

Code: Select all

[CJTF 667] No. 5 Sqn RNZAF #1 (P-3K2 Orion) suffered penetration on pressurized cabin - Disintegrating in mid-air!

22-Jul-23 22:45:18 - [Olvana] New contact! Designated MISSILE #1042 - Detected by 3/3 Gds UAV Bn #1 (WZ-7 Soaring Dragon UAV) [Sensors: Generic SIGINT] at 145deg - Estimated 304nm

22-Jul-23 22:45:18 - [Olvana] New contact! Designated MISSILE #1043 - Detected by 3/3 Gds UAV Bn #1 (WZ-7 Soaring Dragon UAV) [Sensors: Generic SIGINT] at 145deg - Estimated 303nm

22-Jul-23 22:45:18 - [CJTF 667] No. 5 Sqn RNZAF #1 (P-3K2 Orion) has been destroyed!

22-Jul-23 22:45:18 - MIM-120C-7 NASAMS II [AMRAAM] #1759 HIT: Weapon: MIM-120C-7 NASAMS II [AMRAAM] #1759 is attacking No. 5 Sqn RNZAF #1 (P-3K2 Orion) with a base PH of 95%. PH adjusted for weapon speed: 89% (pure-aerodynamic attitude control). Final PH: 89% Result: 86 - HIT.

22-Jul-23 22:45:18 - [CJTF 667] Contact No. 5 Sqn RNZAF #1 has been lost.

22-Jul-23 22:45:18 - [CJTF 667] Contact No. 5 Sqn RNZAF #1 detected by CJTF 667 droppped - for my unit

There is also something strange in that unit, sometimes it does not appear in the scenario.

I'm unable to repro this in 1711, tried several times even manually launching, the missiles seems unable to lock on the target...

In fact I'd expect a blue on blue if you're unable to ID the contact so the post should be WAD but the results I'm getting are not IMO (might be WAD, I need to check)

Tried in another scenario, and yes if you don't ID the unit, and your ROE let you fire to non-ID contacts, or even you class the contact as hostile (due to Exclusion Zone) you might have a blue on blue, so be careful with your ROEs

I apologize if I'm missing something, but the P-3 is ID'd as friendly ('A' beneath contact) and the NASAMS Air ROE is set to tight. They will engage even if manually ID'd as friendly with 'F" keypush.
