During my current game one of my automated fleets cleared a well guarded neboulousa system. I checked the combat and found that there were colonizers from 5 different factions bouncing in and back out (retreating due to enemies). When I defeated the enemies they raced to colonize.

While this is really funny it highlights the problem with over colonization thru proxies as wee can see Wekkarus colonizing a desert world with Gizurean and.... Zenox ??? (like wtf)

Could have gotten five colony ships if you'd had boarders.
