Army Group South problem

Love this game, but man is it buggy. I'm in the third Pripyat Swamp scenario, chasing down the Russkies when the game -- in mid turn -- switches to two-player mode. And I can't get it out. I had to alt-delete out of the game, which means I lost the two hours I had into that scenario. I want to finish the game, but probably will give up if it happens again. Anybody with this same problem????
Also, why doesn't the game allow mid-turn saves??? Would have saved me a lot of work....

Yooper, is this the scenario where you had to make the high/low road choice?
Well, never mind. I see I already gave you that one in a different thread.. Try deleting the steel.prf file and restart. I assume you have all 3 of the MCLV patches instralled?

Jim, no, the problem with is one several scenarios later. That fix you sent me worked great. Thank you very much.
I'll try that new suggestion. The kindness of strangers is the best thing about this site and the games.
I do have all the patches installed, I think. I'm using (as I recall without firing up) the .01 version.
