I am new to the game. I read the manual and trying my chance in the campaign against Ai. One thing I am unclear about: the effects of attacking opponent's hq's. I located a few Soviet hq's, and one of them is a corps hq. But I am not sure if I should go after them and got my attack out of shape, attack them with my stukas or just ignore them. My questions:

* will any loss of manpower and increase in fatigue of hq's have any effect of enemy units' performance? Or do they operate normally until destroyed?

* is it worth to attack hq's with air assets?

* if hq's should indeed be primary targets, is it enough to encircle them or should I seek to destroy hq's altogether?

Hi, yes, it is worth destroying enemy HQs. If you destroy a HQ then all its units are now controlled by a higher HQ BUT:
* the Supply Level will have a maximum value of Extended Support.
* the Supply State cannot be changed from Basic Supply Level.
* Units suffer a reduction in Quality of one level.

Thanks for the clarification. One last question: If I destroy a corps hq, would all units under its command will suffer a reduction of quality of one level?

Hi, no, only the direct HQ causes the quality to reduce by 1.
