What to do to keep Greece neutral?

Diplomacy? Any other steps the axis player can take? Every time I invade Yugoslavia (after they flip and join the allies) Greece goes to 90+% allied and then joins the allies the next turn. Capturing Greece then pushes my Barbarossa back until July.

Thanks in advance

Mike

Some of the flexibility is in the Axis side. The have a decision event that allows an invasion of Greece by Italy.
If I remember correctly when the Allies support the Yugoslavia coup the Greeks move toward belligerence. I guess the Allies could not support a coup. In that case Yugoslavia joins the Axis.

I wait until Yugoslavia joins the Allies. Then when I attack it, Greece has always stayed neutral.

No need to wait on July.

Invade Yugoslavia early, September at the latest, and just eat it up, not risking high casualties. You can pipe down plenty enough to take it out in three turns, at most. Meanwhile get that spare Italian corps into Greece so you can take the southeast Yugo cities and block off Greece when it enters (yes, let the Italians have their glory. No Hungary necessary). When the Yugo falls, just pump down the two HQ (only one needed if you transported one to Albania) to the south. It's easier to do with your air force in support, of course, but not strictly necessary. Two armor, a couple of armies and maybe 3 corps should be fine for Greece. (And a para -- just in case)

You should wrap up in Greece by Feb. '41. Make sure to get where you can operate out and move any air northwards. By the end of May, or early June at the latest, you should be off to the the steppes with all your units upgraded, including your minors.

The above is designed for Expert Difficulty Level. At lower settings, it will be all the easier.
