Escarpment River

I created Hexside Rivers for my games, since I mostly create games from boardgames. And its sometimes very hard to create a map with the TOAW rivers. You loose a lot of hexes if it's impassible rivers.

It was actually not to hard to do. I used the Escarpment Tiles:
Movement across Escarpment: Mountain units +1, all others +2
Combat across Minor Escarpments results in twice the losses for the Attacker.
Kind of similar to river.

So if anyone is interested you can have them. It's just strait lines boardgame style.
Unzip and drop the file in your Graphics Override File and rename it after the game you want to use it in. And the TOAW engine will create the Hexside River Tiles for you in the Map Editor.
Have to use the hexside river on both sides of the hexside to create the game effects equal from both sides.

Artillery has an advantage when firing over escarpment hexsides. It doesn't work both ways.

Actually the escarpments are on both sides of te hex side.
I don't know if there is a disadvantage firing up the escarpment.
No more blowing bridges for sure.

You can put a little river bit in there, then you can have bridges that blow.

You can take the graphics farther by making the river bits invisible, and replacing the escarpment tiles with the river tiles.
