The ancient kings "the marathas" of india used to take full advantage of the invisibility afforded to them by the hills during war.
i have used the same tactics to defeat AI .
i have equipped my titans with those extra jump seconds by sacrifising
energy weapons,

the strategy is:
1) get behind the enemy's back.
2) hide in the darkness offered by hill terrain.
3) use close combat weapons(chain saw and power axe) and death from above manouveres effectively to behead the foes
4) move back into the darkness as quickly as possible before the opponent can afflict major damage

The design of the titans must be essentialiy light/scout
by sacrifising energy weapons one can concentrate on having advanced scanning ability to see what your enemies cant.

Try hiding in dense wood too, should work. Best results are with crouched recon + E.C.M. Enemy has to get real close to see you.
