A couple of bugs I cannot prove and how to bypass one of them

Hello:

1 In my current game, I have done an Air Impulse, and used Manstein 5 points to reorg 5 planes. The HQ was spent but the planes were not flipped.

2 In a combat, where I was attacking with 3 corps and 1 div of Finnish, in snow, The game didnt offer whether I wanted to use my winter bonus (perhaps because it was obvious I should, since I lost nothing and won 3.5) but it later did not sum these bonuses to the combat.

How did I (serendipituously) solve it? I was so pissed off that , while I was ranting about this, I clicked in another combat and I got the usual message "you cannot select this combat because another combat is currently running" (or similar), and then clicked back on the first one, BUT the game recalculated that combat and summed the 3.5 lost points.

Another way would be to force the die roll to have into account the right calculation, right?

Do you have game saves for both? If so, post, I'll take a look and submit bug report(s) in the beta forum.

Well, that is what we were going to do, but I was confused by the newer CE rules, and instead of simply cancelling the snow effect, I was summing 3,5 , so that would have made me edit the totals considering the roll for the decimals, as well.

The lower image is my opponents', and I got the same until I happened to click on the Novgorod Combat and then back at the 36,55. I told my partner to click as well and he got it recalc too.

Thanks, rkr.

I assumed it wouldnt be reproducible, but on second thought, why not? I am uploading the Land combat file.

As for the HQ reorg bug, for some reason in my PC there are only saves up till the Combat Resolution phase, so there is no record of HQ reorg phase (maybe it is related?).

My mate had the file previous to the reorg which spent the HQ but later "forgot" that the planes were reorganized.

Edit: I converted it in solitaire, tried again, and it went just fine at least at the beginning of my oppponent's turn.

I checked this one first.

Original Game File.
(1) MWIF Version: 7.0.1 (Debug)
(2) Mode of Play: Internet

Modified Game File.
(3) In order to process the game file I made the following two modifications.
(4) MWIF Version: 8.0.0.1 (Debug)
(5) Mode of Play: Solitaire

Scripted 2D10 Result.
(6) To "verify" if the winterized bonus was being calculated correctly I scripted the 2D10 LC result.
(7) The odds before winterized = +2.667.
(6) If/when included the odds after winterized = +2.667 + 3.5 = +6.167.
(7) To verify I decided on a 2D10 Result of +18 (Assault).
(8) To attempt this I elected to fight assault, miss the fractional (i.e., =999) and set 2D10=12.

Land Combat Resolution.
(9) Like you, MWIF did NOT ask if I wanted to lead with winterized units (more on that in a bit).
(10) The 2D10 Result matched the intended script, verifying that the winterized unit bonuses were included.
(11) Now since all attacking units were winterized, the first lost, if any, taken by the Finnish would have had to have been a winterized unit even if the Finns could have denied the bonus.
(12) So did MWIF include the bonus by default (i.e., not even bothering to ask the attacker)?
(13) That's as good a hypothesis as any; so not ready to declare not asking in this case as a bug.
(14) What we need to prove or reject this hypothesis is a mix attack of winterized & non-winterized units to see if MWIF does ask in that case.

Yeah, that's what I did and found too.
