LCM'S ,How to use them

I have a lot in Auz main ports , but they only have a range of 120 , so how do get them to Invasion Beaches without sinking

Escort them, include an AO and/or stopping at every port along the way that has fuel.

They will automatically refuel from bigger ships in TF.
Alone they are quite useless.

Like any short legged ship stick a long range one in TF or an AO and/or multiple hops between bases.
