Both in battle (how much flotation is left, for example) and in the strategic level (prestige/budgetary/tension implications of decisions, for example) is not showing up. I haven't changed any settings that I know of. Any idea why this is happening?

I tried reinstalling the game (from Steam), now I can see the popup in combat but not in the strategic game. Luckily, I know mostly what the effects are but it is unnerving. I'd love to know what's up.

Just seen a comment on the Steam forum that has me wondering: does it affect all the visual display themes?

Aha! Thanks, getting them in "iceberg" style though not in carbon.

Actually, it worked for a bit and then it stopped.

It's sort of hit or miss, occasionally I see it but generally not.
