Armored Trains over gunned/HQ attach

Personally I feel the Armored trains are way over-gunned in this game. In the current game I am playing particularly in early stages of Barbarossa they were devastating on German tanks and armies. Even though they were only inf 1 weapons they were taking 2 points of damage on tanks level 2 and armies. Opponent did use 2 together in conjunction so wiping out half the strength which allowed other units to mop up. Once armored trains were level 2 they were taking 2 to 4 points of damage on each hit. Yes they were probably attached to Zuchov but my units were attached to level 9 HQ"s. At this stage my tanks were level 3. One tank unit was wiped out totally by 2 train hits.Every turn I lost a major unit to the trains and a few follow up attacks. Yes I was pushing to the front as I believe the Germans need to do to gain territory and and often supply of perhaps 4. I know this is a factor but reality was the trains were not destroying corps of armor or armies this way. It gives the Russians free drastic hits every turn without taking any losses. Even once I had artillery positioned to counter attack with numerous turns in a row they didn't take 1 point of damage. Even with air attacks , the air units took more damage than the trains. Given trains run on tracks that are very easy to destroy from the air or by artillery fire, cannot change direction they seem to dominate the battlefield like nothing else. When I play Russia I still feel the trains are too impactful on results.
My suggestion is to either have more like artillery stats or half their current attack values and weaken their defense against air and artillery as in reality they did help but not so decisively. Please anyone put in your feedback but not biased if you predominantly only play Allies.
HQ Un-attachment
I do find that after you seem to take 2 attacks on 1 unit, that unit then drops attachment to HQ units. This seems to be reflected in losses then taken. At the start of every turn i check attachments and find units attacked at least twice are un-attached to a HQ on my next turn. This is if HQ is on auto assist mode or manual, both seem to do it. Another thing I am noticing is HQ units jumping to auto without doing so. This seems to be the case in the last 2/3 patch updates. I have mentioned this before and surely others have noticed this too ?
With attachments I feel you should be able to attach any allied units to any HQ. I am talking allied by side not "The Allies:
So minor HQs can attach units of any aligned nation, with the exceptions of Russia (not cooperative with Allies) and China as covered with Stillwell and again not fully cooperative.
Anyway would love to hear what others thoughts are on all the above.
