Symptoms:
* Switch to Beta and Steam downloads and installs beta
* Hit Play on Steam and the Launcher appears
* Select Play on the Launcher and the CMO opening screen does not appear, and after 10 seconds or so Steam reverts to the Play button (intead of Stop).

Tried:
* Reverting to 1.08, and it runs perfectly
* Reset to the Beta, then verified file integrity
* Started up the beta and the same symptoms appeared - no CMO start screen appears after hitting Play in the launcher
* Did this sequence twice

I'm attaching the following exception log. I did try removing all the test scenarios and Autosaves, but that had no effect.

That's quite strange.....

Wild thought: Can you try forcing Command.exe to run as Admin ?

I have exactly the same issue. Tried running Steam as Administrator, doesn't work either.

I have moved the Steam CMO Folder and revalidated (redownloads all files). No success.

Yes. That had no effect. I got a spinning circle for about 3 seconds and then nothing. Good thought though, but I've never needed to do that before.

I restarted W11, which then kicked off Steam to update itself when I opened Steam, and after that the Beta worked.

That doesn't explain why it worked with 1.08 but not the Beta, but whatever.

Back in business. The one thing I didn't try

I had the same issue with beta. Game wouldn't start. Restarting Win10 helped.

I have more issues (sometimes I can, and sometimes can't load any scenario in beta) which I'll describe in separate thread.
