Is there a way to instantly RtB airplanes in the air with the Editor (similar to "Move" but put them IN the base), or one has to lua it?

You would have to Lua it.

In the event you don't have great Lua skills, I'd think that just deleting the aircraft and then adding an identical one to the base might be an easier path to achieving the same effect. True instant RTB sounds very complex and niche.

One trick I use is after building an airbase and loading aircraft is to create an inst file. I have had the need to do a mission reset before and that helps. There's a lot of things you can do to mitigate editing mistakes with inst/delta files.
