Hi, in the guide it refers to the following...

4.3 Two Essential Plug-ins
Install the plug-ins by choosing the "Plugins" menu, "Manage and Install Plugins". A dialog will pop up, enabling us to search and install plug-ins.
Enter "mmqgis" in the search box, select it in the search results, and press "Install Plugin".
Next, enter "openlayers" in the search box, select the "OpenLayers Plugin" from the search results, and install it.
Close the "Manage and Install Plugins" dialog.

Openlayers is no longer available, what can I used instead to create a new map or following the map construction guide further?

Try going into Plugins/Settings and checking the "Show also deprecated plugins" and see if you find the item there. This was posted in Discord about OpenLayers.

I am trying to use FPCCW as an Umpire role for DCS and Steelbeasts / Arma 3

Meaning using it for Kriegsspiel and the maps are the biggest challenge in the other games to match this one

Unfortunately, not showing for me. Very strange.

What version of QGIS are you running? Does the plugin show once you go back to the All screen? Really need to see what William thinks, as he is the QGIS guru, and I'm the village idiot in this case.

Another user is running this version of QGIS: He uninstalled the plugin and turned off deprecated, and it looks like this: Turned on Depricated and the Plugin reappeared in the listing: Hope that helps. If not we will need William to jump in.

Solved it...

Had to go back to exactly that version and all three plugins are available.
