Small suggestion: Artillery animation is too long and Painful (both to watch and ear)

Hi.
Just a small suggestion. Artillery animation is really long.
you can sometimes have nearly a dozen of artillery units firing each minutes, and in this case the on-map animation is long and boring. Maybe it can be shorten a bit ? Any % of reduction will help. Also maybe not so loud ?
Or maybe artillery effect can be rewrite for example, to be more something like smoke. Having an hex under "continuous artillery fire" and having no need to replay the artillery animation ALL THE TIME EACH MINUTES.
A lot of animation have been redesigned and i love them. (Hurra for the firing missile effect), but the artillery one is still the old one and is Annoying. (Also, it is quite painful to listen).

Under "User Preferences":
Default Animation speed I set to 30, but I think if you really want to you can jack this up to 50 and have animations resolve faster. Might need to have it at a sweet spot (as stated, I run it at 30) so the firing and movement animations are too fast.
Artillery volume: Scrolling and Sound tab -> Unit Combat FX. TBH, thinking about it now if it is possible it'd be nice to have artillery sounds as their own setting. This one, however, will reduce the volume of artillery fires (and others).

Thanks for the informations. But my rant is specifically aimed at artillery animation.
Others are fine and i would not want to change them.
But you are right, having a specific artillery FX settings could be a good thing.
Let me explain :
Artillery animation is very specific, compared to others, because they are long, but also most of the time have low importance. (many times you are bombing an hex blindly, hoping to hit something. Most of the time there is nothing here).
When each minutes you have to watch it a dozen time, it is not very interesting and not meaningful.
On the contrary, a missile or tank gun exchange is usually short, rare and very meaningful, because things die fast and you feel the tactical impact ! I love watching them.
Maybe there could be a different artillery animation when you shoot at a spotted target (Normal one) and when you shoot blindly (faster/minimal one) ?

Asking about a set of shorter Arty animations and what triggers them with the team.

The game plays a "long" artillery animation for the initial volley, and "short" animations for the subsequent volleys. In addition, the game plays any hit animations resulting from the volley in parallel (as opposed to after the volley animation).

Thanks.
On my side, i tested to play at x10 default animation speed, and the feeling is really better.
Not sûre there is an issue anymore.
