Shouldn't the Bf-110 C-5s be able to carry auxiliary fuel tanks? Despite operating from the Fernaufklärungsgruppen, they have a limited range (228 miles) for strategic reconnaissance.

Their counterparts in the Heeresaufklärungsgruppen (the Bf-110 E-3s), despite being subordinate to tactical reconnaissance units, carry two 900-liter auxiliary fuel tanks and therefore have a considerably better range of 410 miles.

There are few C-5s available (four Staffeln, three of them in the Theater Boxes), but it seems quite strange to me that the E-3s (of which there are also not many, another four Staffeln, although all are on the map) have auxiliary fuel tanks and the C-5s do not.

The C-series was older and not equipped for drop tanks, they had the D-series for long range missions but I can't reember if they had a recon version too.
Anyway the C-5 was in the process of being replaced by Ju88 recons, slower but much more range.
