This channel started out very promising but went dark for a bit. This is a new video they just put out.

The CMO sensor model is definitely optimistic on the sensor side even with realistic terrain. It is fair to point that out. At the same time I haven't really taken up testing and putting in posts to tune it. I have posted one or two tickets but can't make it a hobby at this point. I suspect its the same for others. So this one is kind of on everybody but for sensible reasons.

You can definitely work around it though. You can leverage lua for lots, but you don't even need that to hide things. You can add mounts and sensors to units like buildings, revetments, there are even TEL shelters. You can also add some units as cargo.I wouldn't have chosen the straight line exodus over the mountains and terrain. It is goofy but I do appreciate the effort to solve the visibility problem with terrain.

There broad issue with these kinds of videos is there is a really bad feedback loop and you're depending on the editor to know enough about the game and wargaming to build a reasonable model that helps them think through something (and not units stats!). YouTube cares about views, not peer reviews so there is no incentive really to do this or interact with it in any way.

To conceal the SAMs, I use a 'Unit Enters Area' event to move them into the correct position once an enemy aircraft enters the zone. This way, the SAM is only identified when the enemy is close enough for it to engage. I then use a timed event to simulate the SAM packing up and relocating to a new position.
