Questions about roads, major cities and rails

Some questions, please : (usefull for my "false clear" hex system based on invisible graphs for Ancient battles mod)
My problem is that roads are usefull to have spplied units, but at the same time, roads risk to cancel effects of terrain, it's a little bit difficult to combinate that because I want to have terrains in the mod.
My questions are :
1/ Do rails cancel effects of terrain for move of unit ?
2/ Do rails cancel effects of terrain for combat ?
3/Do roads (principal and dirt) cancel effects of terrain for move of unit ?
4/Do roads (principal and dirt) cancel effects of terrain for combat ?
5/ What is the best to conduct supply for units : roads or rails ? (in other terms, may I avoid to use road and in the same time use rails for supply ?)
6/ Do cities (in particular major cities) cancel effects of terrain for move of units ?
Attached image : My battlefield when I use special "non invisible files" to control if my map is ok for "invisible ground" (yellow circles = major cities, red lines = rails, blue lines = principal roads)
Each hex has a major city + 1 road + 1 rail inter connected, to be sure that units of 2 sides will always be full supplied
If roads and/or rails cancel effects of terrain, I will probably erase rails and roads in the terrains zones (hills, forest, etc), and just keep invisible major cities for terrain zones. But I would prefer to be able to have at least rails for these zones in addition, if roads are not possible
