Chance Encounter VP

Hi,

just finished my second multiplayer game and I realized one VP location flipped entirely to my opponent; even though I had 3 subunits more than him around it. Then I noticed it only counts units 1 hex away from the VP (so I happened to have 2 less), while my second group was 2 hexes away instead of next to it.

Does the area of influence change during the time of the battle or is it always the same? I believe these areas are difference per scenario?

At End Game, the VP location ownership is based on the number of units and their combat power that fall within a range of the VP based on time remaining. If the game ends on the timer, only units on or at one hex matter. If there is more time, then the radius increases. Not sure of the minutes-to-hex number off the top of my head.

We want to account for the possible range of action of the remaining forces and their strength relative to the initial end-state ownership of the VP locations. Only ground units can impact the ownership of VP locations.
