Hi, I have had this game for several years, and play against the AI. Recently I installed it onto a new laptop, one which I use with my other Matrix games. WITP-AE seems to run so slow when doing the Turn, takes forever to move from one base to another and open up different screens. I have never had this problem with WITW or WITE2 (or WITE1). I feel like I do not want to play it because I am waiting all the time for a new screen or new base to come up!

Suggestions?

Have you set any switches for the shortcut?

If not, see this link https://forums.matrixgames.com/viewtopi ... 9#p4242639 download it and run it. Especially the -dd-sw switch.

If you aren't running the 1126b beta patch, make sure to uncheck the beta box at the bottom.

Slowness in scrolling is definitely because of the lack of -dd_sw switch.
