Wow! Just what I needed for my "Operation Christiane" scenario - which takes place in December, 1988. I was about to ask the developers about winter maps!

I did a preliminary test with the Buchholz map, and it works fine. Do I have your permission to add your "Buchholz.jpg" to the .zip for the new version of the scenario I'm working on? This way, the players will have everything in a single package.

Sure, glad they can be used by someone. They belong to OTS at any rate. I just washed them through a batch file rendering program.

For an existing scenario, pick the map you want to use from the Winter Maps folder, and place it in the \Maps\Custom folder, as shown in the screenshot below.

On Steam, I simply pulled out the Bucholz.jpg" file from the .../Modules/FCCW/Maps directory (putting it in a safe location) and then copied the winter version of the map in the same place. It worked without hassles.

If you want to play my scenario, be warned that I'll publish a much improved version either today or tomorrow (GMT+1 time). I learned A LOT about scenario making for FCCW (including things that don't work as advertised...) and this allowed me to make a lot of tweaks to the first version.

Anyway, if you are already playing it, I hope you are having fun

Er... and, right on cue, the new patch changes the Buchholz map, so the winter theme of my scenario is gone.

It is possible to have an updated winter version? Please? Pretty please? <3
