episodic black screen events every 3 seconds.

I've noticed that when running WITE2 there is a periodical event that turns the screen turns completely black and then about 1/2 second later it resolves like nothing has happened. About every three minutes or so this happens. Everytime this happens my YouTube app restarts about 4 seconds earlier in the video like it was restarted at that time. So it affects the entire computer. Any ideas?

This can happen. No way around it as far as I know.

Hey Joel good buddy.....you're suggesting that there's no workaround, no solution, no debugging. May I suggest that's not quite good enough. This is a showstopper for me. I would like to see somebody look into this please. Otherwise I'll have to drop back to WITE1.

The whole screen should not turn black, just the game window. And only during the AI calculations. This shoudl no affect other programs unless one CPU core is at maximum and not much power budget left for the others.

I agree that the entire screen shouldn't turn dark but it DOES. It should happen only during AI calculations but it DOES happen every 90 seconds ( approx. ) reguardless of whatever mode I'm in, mostly when I'm scrolling. I agree that it should not affect other programs I'm running in the background but it DOES. And I have 8 CPU cores. All of them spike when this occurs and You Tube videos stop momentarily. I thank you for your input, I just wish it was more accurate. I would include a screenshot of this occurance but it would show a completely black screen. So thank you very much, thank you so much, thank you. But it's still a showstopper for me. I appreciate your swift reply very much. I just wish it could have provided some tiny fragment of actual help.

Did you try windowed mode or running the exe in an "compatibility mode" or setting the exe's affinity to a specific CPU thread/core?
I faced similar looking errors when trying to run decade old games on newer systems which sometimes got fixed this way(s).
