Hi all,

I'm just testing this fictional mod. In some of the air groups screens I can't see the option to get pilot replacements. Also in such groups there is a number in parentheses next to the number of ready pilots. At the same time other squadrons attached to the same HQ and of the same nationality in the same base have the option to get new pilots. Oddly enough, the number in the parantheses next to the ready pilots in such squadrons is zero.

I am attaching two screenshots. I have tried looking this up in the manual but couldn't find anything.

Note: Even though both of these US Army AF squadrons are attached to Far East USAAF, I have removed all restrictions from the HQ through the editor (don't ask why )

The bracketed number is easy, it indicates there's an inactive pilot in the groups, i.e. one that's in the group reserve and ready to fly. If you have a look at the pilot list you will see a greyed out pilots with delay of 1. Pilots flying have a delay of o while pilots with any other number are on the way but their number is not refelted in the air unit screen.

As to the other problem it's a guess without a pic but I suspect it has to do with there already being a full complement of pilots in the group but pliots on the way are not taken into account unitl they arrive and they always arrive in the group (reserve).

Because the unit is full....GP

The unit already has enough pilots - in fact too many. A US air unit of 25 fighters would normally be limited to 8 extra pilots. You have 18. They can all be made active but the low skill ones will dilute your unit ability until they train up.
If you want to get veterans you have to return some pilots (usually the slow learners) to the General Reserve and then Request Veteran(s).
