Any AA gun effects if no physical aircraft damage is done?

If an AA gun fires, but does no physical damage to the defending aircraft, does the AA gun defensive fire do any positive good at all? For example, does it reduce the bombers morale or the bomber's attack effectiveness. I assume that the answer will apply to all Strategic Command games.
