I got this game when it first released, on floppy disk, way back. If you know anything about programming, you know that was a feat in itself. Since then, it has only gotten bigger but not weaker in detail. I've played this pbem and solo, and now playing it solo again. I'm still learning after all these years. My only wish, and I know it would slow the game down, is for more combat animation.

There are so many variables in this game that no replay would ever be the same. I love it. I'd like to shake Gary Gribsby's hand, the genius programmer who started this whole thing. Master craftsman.

I've been playing since it was a board game and I don't remember any floppy disks. Correct me if I'm wrong....GP

In my mind, Grigsby is the Architect of the game's design, but the hard work was done by the programmers who translated the design into programming elements. Their names are found in the Credits (C button, upper right of game screen). Bearing in mind that leading up to the game's release in 2009 the dominant OS for computers was Windows XP and the average home PC had limited RAM and storage capacity, the challenge to fit everything in was extreme. Thus the sketchy Combat animations. I'll post the credits screen in a few minutes - need to get the screenshot.
