Combat Effects of Marsh

Does anyone know the combat modifiers associated with marsh? Notice in the example that I've pulled back the Russian defense one hex so that the attacker has to enter a marsh hex. I'm guessing that attacking out of a marsh hex is bad but I don't really know for sure.

Here's some questions I have:
o What is the combat modifier for a land attack into a marsh hex?
o What is the combat modifier for an air attack into a marsh hex?
o What is the combat modifier for defending in a marsh hex?
o Does armor/mech have a more harsh modifier than infantry?
o Is there a combat modifier for attacking out of a marsh hex for either armor/mech or infantry?

Thank you in advance for any help on this subject.

I think it's both.

Attacking out of a marsh is bad, and I think attacking into a marsh is bad as well.

I think it's 0.5 modifier for attacks out of a marsh hex. But not sure if it's the same for attacks into a marsh, probably there's no modifier for it, it might just be caused by the defense bonus. Especially tanks suck then, but artillery and air attacks have a bonus. Even maritime bombers score hits on marsh hex units usually.

if you click on the marsh hex you can see the terrain properties.

Basically, defending in a marsh hex is good if you're facing tanks. Okish vs infantry. Bad if you're facing a lot of bombers. So if you wanna break Leningrad quickly, show up with a lot of artillery and bombers.

Thanks Umeu. I'd completely forgotten about right clicking on a hex to see terrain effects. Sheesh, go figure.
