Only if the Milwaukee Brewers win the World Series.

I have precisely zero interest in sports, so is that akin to saying that pigs will fly first?

Pigs have already flown. If you have every watched the movie "Air America" they were even dropped by parachute! They have also flown when the tornado hit the hog barn.

Looks like this thread is going the way of ST.. talk of sports, movies, tornadoes, hogs, and nothing of substance. I guess that's confirmation enough.

Totally agree. Every year without Steel Tigers, Matrix are pissing money down the drain. It would be an absolutely guaranteed hit.
I'm 38 and concerned that I'll never see it

I'm not much older than you, been playing SP since I was 14. I'm afraid we'll be old men before we see it!

I'm 76. I can see the offramp in the distance. It doesn't say this way to Steel Tigers.

I have some faith somewhere. Can we petition outside Grigsy's house?

I wonder if Grigsby will be retired before ST ever happens. IIRC they were supposed to resume it after WiTE2, but that's been out for five years. 2by3's website hasn't been updated in 12 years.

Gary Grigsby's Eagle Day to Bombing the Reich
Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

This is really cool - first time I've ever seen SP4 mentioned in an official capacity. Thank you for sharing all this!
Curious though, if he didn't want to continue making sequels to SP, why did he sign on again in 2014 or whenever it was? Maybe he lost interest again?

New steel panthers is the holy grail that never comes. But for me there is still plenty left to play in the old ones. And apperently 2by3/Gary is busy beta testing Carrier Strike 2 so his time is not lost!

It's certainly no Steel Tigers, but... I've been working on a game in my spare time for quite a while now that I think some of the people in this thread might be interested in.
The current build still has a long way to go before I would consider it production ready, but I've been having a lot of fun with it already. I'd be VERY interested in hearing what some of the old Steel Panthers "vets" think.
I'm not sure what the etiquette is for sharing something like this on here, but if people are interested I can post the link to the demo build.
A couple screenshots from development:
- The "Create From Globe" scenario tool that pulls real terrain data to use as a starting point for maps (this example is from the Ardennes)
- A couple pictures from one of my Peleliu scenarios showing white beach (note the fancy aircraft flyovers and the "formation move" tool

)

Absolutely incredible work. I'm less far along with a 3D real terrain hex project, but that's set in another era. It's a lot of work, so applause to you. Nice GUI, too.
Slitherine should be phoning you soon, I hope.

Thanks! It's beautiful when it comes together. I have to share one more of these map previews with someone because they're just so dang pretty looking, especially with all the new kinds of road junctions I just added. This was was generated from east of San Francisco bay.

Hi.
I've D./L'd it and played a few tutorials.
I admit to a tickle in my spine while checking out your maps.
Lemme work my way through all of that ~ keep in mind it's summertime, and I can pass on my thoughts.
Cheers
